Ready, Jetset, Go!
Welcome aboard!
If you haven’t figured it out yet, this is my blog. I thought it would make the most sense to begin with a short introduction.
First, some housekeeping will probably be helpful. I am still learning the best way to organize the website. Fasten your seatbelt and please be patient because takeoff might be delayed (perhaps indefinitely if my class schedule continues the way it is now)!
Anyway, the Passport Approved tab is a gallery with some of my photos. It is a fast way to get to know some things about me. Eventually I would like to link my blog posts in some of those photos. Which brings me to this tab- Journey with Jules! Here, you can find all of my more detailed posts about my travel stories and tips.
Now, I would like to write a little bit about what started this journey into the blogging world.
Really, buying a domain and writing about myself is foreign territory for me. It might surprise you, but I am not as open about my life as this website makes me appear. I would not even describe myself as having an “influencer” personality. It took a lot of encouragement from my friends for me to start this blog. I am relatively experimental and I find that I regret the things that I do not do more than the choices that I make. So, here I am! Maybe one day I will look at this blog and think: “silly me!” In any case, I think that’s better than wishing I had the courage to start something that I consider bold.
SO… I just want to make some points clear.
1) This is an amateur blog and I do not really know enough about web design to achieve the level of perfection that someone might expect in a blogger. (To be honest, I am not even sure what the standard is for blogging…)
2) This is supposed to be a fun and interactive medium for sharing! While I will write a lot about traveling, most of my time is spent far away from planes and I have other adventures to share. From music to books and films, just tell me what you want to read and see and I will draft a post!
3) Given one and two… just please remember that I value kindness and generosity. This is supposed to be a positive space and even though not all trips are memorable for being smooth, I want this to be an unforgettable journey that gives you many smiles. Starting with this one: :)
I hope you are ready for landing and will stick around and explore some more! See you soon!
