Single City Gals Take Boston

Your ultimate guide to a girls trip in Boston!

My teenage self would be so proud of the adventurous week I just shared with my best friend. Maybe it’s just me, but I have always romanticized the idea of being young and in my twenties, celebrating life in a big city. When my best friend bought tickets to come visit me, I was surprised at the nervous anticipation. Hopefully, I can help you avoid the drama of planning with these ideas. Feel free to add them to your own itinerary!

First up! A ball game- Woohoo!

Depending on the season, locals will tell you that a sporting event is one of the best places to experience Bostonian culture. I have to agree, singing “Sweet Caroline” in Fenway Park makes you feel like you have been adopted into the family. And how about them Red Sox? ;) I am far from sporty…but even I have to admit some much warranted appreciation.

Pro tip: We found our tickets on Stubhub for a good deal and used the money we saved on some yummies at the stadium. If you aren’t a fan of American delicacies, there are some restaurants near the stadium that are great to start your night. Beware that places fill up quickly!

Looking for a view? It’s always happy hour at the Top of the Hub!

Many people pay $18 for the skywalk experience, but this is a great alternative if you’re twenty-one plus. There’s also a family-friendly restaurant, but I think it’s more fun to take your gal pals for a refreshment.

Pro tip: the blueberry mojitos are tasty!

Stretch your legs at the Boston Public Garden

I have to confess that I was a bit skeptical that a place could have such raving reviews and live up to the expectations. This garden did not disappoint! There are eccentric performers all around and vibrant flowers in the spring and summer.

Fun fact: Bachelor nation, this is where Hannah B. and Jed had a one-on-one date.

Skip the heart ache and go with your bestie!

Bloom baby, bloom! Fenway Victory Gardens

A quiet oasis is hard to find in a big city, but lo and behold, we stumbled upon this enchanting garden. My best friend and I walked to Fenway from the Prudential Center and stumbled upon the Victory Garden. I’m not sure if it was the time of day and year but I definitely felt lucky to experience the beautiful blooms of the season. From what I gather, the garden is usually peaceful.

Look at how lovely this is!!!

Pro tip: if you love sunsets, this is a magical place to experience golden hour during summer!

Fun & games at Roxy’s A4cade

A fresh take on a speakeasy, come here for grilled cheese and arcade games!

Pro tip: order to share! The menu will tempt you to order different items and drinks. My bestie and I shared and it was the perfect amount. Maybe you’re more like Joey Tribbiani? The only way to find out is to go!

Son of a beach, it’s a great day to sail away!

Technically, Gloucester is outside of Boston, but you’ll still be in the Atlantic! What better way to be baptized a Bostonian than diving into the endless, deep blue sea? I can confirm that it is freezing. Nonetheless, one of the best experiences!

Pro tip: book through Airbnb with Captain Luc. Link is here!

You and up to five of your closest friends will love it!

Bon Voyage!

I hope you leave comments and tell me your favorite things to do in Boston!
