7 Ways to Improve Sunday Brunch

7 Ways to Have More Fun Easter Sunday

1. Make Fun Pancakes!

I’m not going to give you any innovative ingredient ideas for your pancakes but I can help you make the old ones more fun! No one is too old to play with their food. If you’re the chef, try arranging your pancakes into fun animals or flowers. I made a bunny and used bananas and blueberries for the paws. The fluffy tail is made from sweetened coconut shavings.

2. Spice up your potatoes

Currently my favorite ingredient for my breakfast potatoes is Spanish Paprika. I used Penzey’s and it adds a smokey flavor that might remind you of bbq chips. Please try it!

3. Toast in French Fashion?

There’s not much I’m famous for, but if you ask any of my good friends, they’ll tell you that I make a mean french toast! The secret? Well, there are two. The best french toast is made with coffee creamer instead of milk. The simple substitution will give you more flavor and your house will smell like sweet candles. I prefer french vanilla, but feel free to experiment.

If you have a sweet tooth, you ought to use brioche or bread that is baked with cinnamon. There are many different breads that will do the job, but I promise you won’t regret listening to my tips!

4. Put All of Your Eggs in a Basket

If you are a seasoned brunch eater, you have probably already had eggs in a basket. But for my newcomers, this will be epic! The first time I had eggs in a basket, I felt a new kind of happiness.

All you have to do is take a nice slice of bread (I think Texas toast is the sturdiest) and cut out enough of the middle to fit an egg. Have some fun with a cookie cutter! Make sure to use the good butter!

5. Zest it Up!

For all of my friends who are attending a potluck or need to contribute something for Easter and want a quick and easy option, I have just the thing to save you! Ever since I found out that one of my best friends buys pre-packaged baked good from the grocery store and cheats her way to winning us over, I decided to come up with an easy fix for the lazy baker.

Go ahead and buy a scone mix at the store- cranberry preferred. Add some orange zest and white chocolate chips and you will wow the party!

6. Dessert for Breakfast!

This will be fun for the kids- make a breakfast banana split! Use yogurt instead of ice cream and fruit toppings will be the cherry on top of your Sunday brunch!

7. London Fog in Your Mug

I treat myself every day with happiness in my mug. I love a good London Fog and I used to think I could only get one at a coffee shop. Then one day I put creamer in my tea and it was life changing. I use the Harney & Sons Earl Grey and put some Coffee Mate Coconut Creamer. I like a strong tea so one bag for 8oz of water and then add as much of the heavenly creamer as you desire!
